TungstenCopper back-casting is a special manufacturing process in which a tungsten alloy is back-cast with molten copper to create a seamless bond between the two metals. This material combination unites the exceptional properties of both metals: tungsten offers high hardness, wear and burn resistance, while copper ensures excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. This makes tungsten-copper back-castings ideal for applications where both high temperature resistance and electrical conductivity are required, such as electrodes and nozzles for plasma spraying and X-rays as well as electrodes for resistance welding.
